Operation
7.12 Precharging of the DC links
SINAMICS DCP
354 Operating Instructions, 09/2019, A5E34382853K
Resistance precharging at one side, pulsing up at the other side
Selected with
● p55350 = 1 (side 1: Resistance precharging, side 2: pulsing up)
● p55350 = 2 (side 2: resistance precharging, side 1: pulsing up)
Figure 7-77 Sequence, resistance precharging and pulsing up (p55350 = 1)
Time (1):
A request is issued to close the precharging contactor of side 1 (K11) and the system waits
for the delay time p55355[0] for the voltage precharging at side 1 to expire.
Time (2):
The capacitance at side 1 of the SINAMICS DCP (U1_DCP) must have been charged up to
voltage U1 at this time.
The following conditions must be checked after delay time p55355[0] has expired:
● Voltage U1_DCP must be greater than the minimum voltage p55105 and
● it must not fluctuate more than tolerance p55357[0].
If these conditions are satisfied, then a request is issued to close the main contactor of side
1 (K12), and the system waits for delay time p55356[0] to expire to close the contactor.
If this is not the case, then fault message F60501 is output with fault value 1.
Time (3):
The precharging contactor of side 1 (K11) is opened, the DCP starts to pulse up at side 2
(U2_DCP).
The current set in p55360 is impressed in the capacitance on side 2 until the target voltage
(p55352) is reached.
This operation may not take longer than delay time p55355[1].
