● Variant 2: Each DCP executes its own voltage control with droop.
By selecting an appropriate droop (p54127 ≈ 2…5 %), all voltage controllers respond
"softly" to changes to the load current. This function avoids that the integral components
of the individual voltage controllers work against each other.
Advantage:
The dynamic response of the voltage control in a parallel configuration is comparable with
that of an individual DCP.
Disadvantage:
As the load current increases, the voltage actual value increasingly deviates from the
specified setpoint; this means that depending on the selected droop factor, under load,
the voltage decreases by several percent.
As a consequence, additional measures may be required to actually reach the specified
voltage setpoint.
