5.4 Terminals and connectors

Power connections are not assigned a multiple number of times.
For reasons of safety, multiple use of the power connections is not permitted. This means
that it is not permissible to place several cable lugs on top of each other and screw them
together. If it is necessary to loop through the power connections (for example, when
connecting several SINAMICS DCP devices in parallel), you must use suitable distribution
terminals, which you mount in the cabinet.
Connection cables
The following cross-sections are suggested for connecting cables:
30 kW device
16 mm² copper
Note
The sheath diameter of the cable must not exceed 10
mm.
120 kW device
95 mm² copper
PE connection
The device must be grounded. The device has a PE connection, identified by a grounding
symbol.
Connection overview for the 30 kW device
The PE connection is located at the underside of the device next to the power connections.
Screw tightening torque: 6 Nm.
