In the following example, any two smoke detector zones in alarm causes an
evacuation signal to sound on indicating device circuit 1.
1. Create a user list that includes all zones for cross-zoning function (see the
Lists, Add Points to a List section of this publication).
2. Label the user list "Pre-Signal Alarm Zones (see the Edit Points, Edit
Point Label section of this publication).
3. Add the following SMPL equation (see the To Start SMPL Programming
section of this publication).

In the following example when the water temperature in a holding tank is below
45° F, a monitor point (18-01) turns ON. This monitor point in turn activates the
water heater point (20-01).
1. Change the monitor point (18-01) type to Utility (see the Edit Points, Edit
Point Type section of this publication).
2. Label the Utility point "Water Temperature and the control point (20-01)
Water Heater (see the Edit Points, Edit Point Label section of this
publication).
3. Add the monitor point to a user list and label that list Water
Temperature.
4. Add the following SMPL equation (see the To Start SMPL Programming
section of this publication).
