Insurance cover on company prem-
ises
In many cases, company premises are restric-
ted public traffic areas.
NOTE
The business liability insurance should be re-
viewed to ensure that, in the event of any
damage caused in restricted public traffic
areas, there is insurance cover for the truck in
respect of third parties.
Modifications and retrofitting

Risk of explosion!
Decommissioning or modification of ex-
plosion-protection components is forbid-
den.
If the truck will be used for work that is not lis-
ted in the directives or in these instructions,
the truck must be converted or retrofitted by
the authorised service centre as required. Any
structural modification can impair the handling
and stability of the truck, and can result in ac-
cidents.
Any modifications that adversely affect the
stability, the load capacity or the all-round visi-
bility of the truck require written approval from
the manufacturer. If necessary, obtain appro-
val from the relevant authorities.
The following components may only be modi-
fied with prior written approval from the manu-
facturer:
Brakes
Steering
Operating devices
Safety systems
Equipment variants
Attachments
Safety
