5. Click
Add
to add the selected HBA ports to the Selected HBA Ports list. The host consists of the ports in
the Selected HBA Ports list after
SUBMIT
is clicked.
6. Select the volumes to map to this host from the
Available Volumes
list.
7. Click
Add
to add the selected volumes to the
Selected Volumes
list. To select multiple volumes, use the
C
TRL or
S
HIFT keys while clicking
Add
.
If no volumes have been created, no entries appear in the
Available Volumes
list. Volumes can be mapped
to hosts during the volume-creation process (see “Mapping Volumes and Hosts” on page 64).
8. Enter comment text as needed in the optional Comment field. The comment may be up to sixty alphanu-
meric characters long. Special characters are accepted except those listed in “Reserved Characters” on
page 29.
9. To clear
volume data entered since the last
SUBMIT
, click
RESET
and the view restores the most recently
saved settings.
10. To create
the host as defined, click
SUBMIT
and the
Host Summary
appears (see Figure 44), showing all
existing volumes with their host mappings.
11. To create additional hosts, repeat Step 1 through Step 10 in this procedure until all desired hosts have
been created.
