Detailed Description
Tab. 2.191: Notification by the Voice Mail System
Cancelling the notification:
• Once the notification is cancelled, the voice mails themselves remain stored in
the mailbox. The notification is repeated after a while.
• The notification is cleared once the Voice Mail has been retrieved.
• If the Voice Mails were retrieved by an authorized third party (subscriber C; e.g.
a handset), the notification at subscriber B is cleared.
Several users:
• If a group of users shares a mailbox, all the users will be notified. As soon as
one of the users has listened to the voice mails, the notifications to all the
group members will be cancelled.
Several notifications simultaneously:
If new notifications are received before the existing ones have been processed,
they will be placed into a queue by order of priority as determined by the type of
notification:
• Callback requests are indicated with a higher priority (ahead of notifications by
the Voice Mail System).
• Text messages are indicated with a lower priority (after notifications).
