In addition to the general system limits and limits per user-network interface the
maximum number of terminals connected to the system can also be limited by the
supply power available to the system.
With the AIMS Project Manager all these factors are automatically taken into
account, without any need for manual calculations. Manual calculation itself is
subject to the following principles:
Power supply-related limits per system
The number of permissible terminals per system depends on the power require-
ments of the individual terminals: The total power requirements of all connected
terminals must not exceed the power output of the power supply. The average
power requirements of terminals as indicated in Tab. 3.22 are used for the calcu-
lations.
