B. Enter your Operator ID and sequence through the workow to view the Firmware Delivery opon.
Verify Enabled is selected.
5. The baery charge level is no less than 51%.
To verify:
A. From the Home Screen, navigate to: More Opons > Instrument Status
B. Locate Baery and verify level is 51% or higher.
Procedure:
Perform the following steps to download and install soware update:
CAUTION: During the sow
are installaon, do not remove the baery from the instrument. When the
installaon is complete, the instrument will display a message indicang that new soware has been
installed. The display of this message is the indicaon that it is safe to resume normal operaon of the
instrument.
1. From the Home screen, navigate to: More Opons > Instrument Opons > Soware Installaon >
Check for Update
2. Aer the soware download is completed, installaon of soware can begin. Please skip step 3.
3. Soware download and installaon can be performed at dierent mes if needed. The i‑STAT Alinity
will display the following symbol
on the Home screen in the lower right hand corner if

are is downloaded but not installed. Touch this icon to display the Soware Installaon menu.
Touch the Install Pending buon to install the soware.
4. Follow the on-screen instrucons to connue with soware installaon.
5. When presented with the name of the soware package to be installed, record the name before
proceeding (this informaon may be used at the end of the procedure to verify that the soware
update has been completed).
• Press Next to connue with the installaon of the soware package, OR
• Press Cancel to terminate the installaon
6. Connue to follow the on-screen instrucons. During the installaon process, the instrument screen
will go blank and remain blank for several minutes. This is normal.
• Do not remove the instrument from the Base Staon
7. When the installaon is complete, the instrument will display a message indicang that new soware
has been installed. The display of this message is the indicaon that it is safe to resume normal
operaon of the instrument.
