abouT baCneT
BACnet is an ASHRAE communication protocol for building automation and control networks.
(ASHRAE: American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc.).
GS4’s BACnet is based on BACnet-2004 (ver.1, rev.4).
BACnet’s regulations are related to several kinds of physical layers’ interfaces. The physical layer
built inside GS4 is achieved via MS/TP interface.
The BACnet of GS4 supports a device type called B-ASC. B-ASC supports six types of services such
as DS-RP-B, DS-RPM-B, DS-WP-B, DM-DDB-B, DM-DOB, and DM-DCC-B.
