This chapter describes how to inuence and determine the image size and format.
Region of Interest (OffsetX / OffsetY / Width / Height) - General Information
You can use the "Region of Interest" (ROI) function to predene a so-called region of
interest or partial scan. This ROI is an area of pixels on the sensor. When an image is
acquired, only the information regarding these pixels is transferred to the PC. Not all of
the lines on the sensor are read out, which therefore decreases the readout time (t
readout
).
This increases the frame rate.
This function is used if only a particular region of the eld of view is of interest. It also
reduces the resolution.
The ROI is specied using four values:
▪ OffsetX - x-coordinate of the rst relevant pixel
▪ OffsetY - y-coordinate of the rst relevant pixel
▪ Width - horizontal size of the ROI
▪ Height - vertical size of the ROI
