9.6 Selecting the Operating Mode for the IR 2011/40 Edge Sensor
9.6.1 Function
If you use an IR2011/40 optical edge sensor to detect the web
edge position, you can choose between six different sensor oper-
ating modes. The operating modes allow optimum adaptation of
the sensor's scanning behaviour to different material properties.
A description of the six operating modes can be found in chapter
IR 2011/40 Operating Modes, page 93.
The desired operating mode is selected in the setup menu using a
special setting menu (see Operating Mode Selection, page 95).
9.6.2 Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled for using the selection
function for the IR 2011/40 optical edge sensor operating mode:
■ An optical edge sensor type IR 2011/40 is connected to the
ekrCON100 controller.
■ Firmware version of the IR2011/40 edge sensor ≥ 3.2.6
■ Firmware version of the ekrCON100 controller ≥ 1.6.7
9.6.3 IR 2011/40 Operating Modes
The desired operating mode is selected in the setup menu using a
special setting menu.
