E201
TWO OR MORE MOTORS APPEAR TO BE NOT MOVING
This error code means that two or more of the Error Codes E115,E125, E135, and E146 have been
detected at the same time.
SAFETY WARNING:
The following troubleshooting procedure may require that tests be made with the electrical
enclosures open and power turned “ON”. These tests should only be conducted by authorized
personnel who are aware of the electrical and mechanical hazards present.
The most likely reason for this error code is
that the DC power is not getting to the AUX
board, is FU3 in the main enclosure blown?
Replace
fuse.
Watch the DC power contactor CR1 in the main enclosure, push
the “RUN” button, does the motor DC power contactor engage?
Measure motor supply voltage at the large
capacitor CAP1, is 28-36VDC present?
Use Figure 5-23 to troubleshoot
the DC power latch circuit.
Repair wiring from DC
power contactor to
AUX board.
Depending upon which motor
is acting erratic, troubleshoot
the problem using the Flow
Chart for error codes E115,
E125, E135, and E146.
You have a bad
connection to the
transformer, or
possibly a bad
transformer.
Check the PL3 is in
good condition and
seated properly before
replacing AUX board.
Normal, re-start a homing sequence while
measuring the voltage at the Aux board
connector, is about 34VDC present?
Check for AC voltage at AC terminals of
rectifier bridge, is 20-27VAC present?
Watch the four servo motors
for erratic or abnormal
movement, re-start the tyer,
do one or more of the motors
begin moving?
Check DC voltage on DC terminals
of bridge, if greater than 24V repair
wiring from bridge to large
capacitor, if less than 20 volts
replace the bridge rectifier.
