TIE CYCLE ABORTED BECAUSE THE RIBBON IS NOT THREADED
This error occurs when the tyer is triggered and the Ribbon Dropped Prox input is “ON”.
SAFETY WARNING:
The following troubleshooting procedure may require that tests be made with the electrical
enclosures open and power turned “ON”. These tests should only be conducted by authorized
personnel who are aware of the electrical and mechanical hazards present.
Is the dancer arm of the
ribbon dispenser over the
Ribbon Drop Prox?
Disconnect the ribbon
drop prox from the FTB,
retest, does problem
persist?
Thread the tyer, rotate the spool to take up slack,
or adjust the length of the V-belt brake so that the
dancer arm is not over the prox (see Section 5.14)
for proper setup of V-belt.
The problem is a short on the
AUX board or the FTB. Replace
the AUX board, If problem
remains, replace the FTB.
The prox appears to be defective.
Check for proper operation of the
ribbon dropped prox (see Section
5.27). Repair wiring or replace prox
as necessary.
