CHAPTER 8: MAINTENANCE
When working with the Servo Tyer, the following points should be observed.
1. This activity should only be conducted by qualified personnel. When troubleshooting
a problem, it may be necessary to have the Main Enclosure open in order to view
the status lights or to make voltage checks while the machine is operating. Proper
safety precautions should be taken.
2. Never place your hands in a position where you can be injured if a motor suddenly
started running at high speed.
Lubrication
The two-flanged bearings supporting the needle shaft should be
lubricated twice a year.
The three bearings supporting the drive shafts for the gathering belts
should be lubricated once a month when the tyer is normally running
at speed settings of 12 or more. When the tyer runs at lower speeds,
lubricating once every 3 months is sufficient.
This Unit is NOT wash-down ready. Do NOT use any form of high
pressure cleaning systems on this unit.
