Belt Guide Tension Adjustment
Depending on the speed of the gathering belts, it may be necessary to adjust the spring
tension on the belt guide. At lower speeds, more belt tension is required to transfer the
package. At belt speeds above 12, the increased tension can cause excessive wear on
the belts and blow fuses.
When running belt speed above 12 (e.g. bun packaging), place the belt guide springs in
high-speed mode. When running belt speed at or below 12 (e.g. bread packaging), place
the belt guide springs in low-speed mode (see pg.74 on how to adjust gathering speed).
Gathering Belts Teeth Mesh
The gathering belts should be adjusted so that the teeth of the top belt are directly above
the teeth of the lower belt. This arrangement minimizes the relative motion between the
two belts and increases the lifetime of the upper rubber-coated belt.
The upper belt teeth are directly above the lower belt teeth.
