Operation
Cutting unit
Engaging the knives
1. Set rotary switch (2) to position (E).
2. Fully raise the pick-up using the tractor hydraulics.
This will engage the knives by the hydraulic
cylinders (H). The pick-up can then be lowered
again.
When using the baler with the knives engaged, the
rotary switch (2) must always be set to position (E).

Disengaging the knives
1. Turn rotary switch (2) to position (A).
2. Lower the pick-up completely.
Note!
The knives remain engaged at first. The knives
are then disengaged when material enters the
machine.
Rotary switch (2) must always be set to position (A)
when working with the knives disengaged.

Switch position
0 = Power supply interrupted
Do not set rotary switch (2) to position (0) until the
baler is at a complete standstill.
E = Knives ON (knives in cutting position)
A = Knives OFF (knives disengaged)
