When using the baler for the first time or after over-
hauling the gearbox, change the oil after the first
50 hours of operation and then every 500 hours of
operation or annually.
E = Bleeder
K = Oil level screw
A = Oil drain plug
Environment!
Dispose of old oil and grease properly and with due
regard for the environment.
Checking the oil level:
Note!
The oil level must be checked with the machine
standing in a horizontal position.
Unscrew and remove bleeder (E). Fill gearbox with
gear oil. Screw on the bleeder (E).
(Fig. 7, 8)
Adjusting the tension of the drive chains
Check all chains for correct tension after the first 10
hours of operation.
During subsequent operation the tension of the chains
should also be checked regularly.
With the tight side of the chain under load, push in the
center of the slack side with your thumb. The tension
of the chain is correct when the slack side deflects
about 2% of the center distance between the shafts.
Example: center distance between shafts is 500 mm
(19.67 inch) x 2% = 10 mm (0.39 inch)
