Faults and remedies
Severing the wrapping twine. 1. The twine brake is too tight. Loosen the
springs.
2. The twine is twisted inside the twine box.
3. Position the twine roll so that the writing is
pointing upwards. Before threading through,
place the guiding arm into the start position. To
do this, activate the crank gear until the knives
move to the rear.
CAUTION – risk of personal injury!
4. Die Bindung kann nur gestartet werden, wenn
die Heckklappe geschlossen ist.
The distance from the outer wrapping twine to the
external edge of the bale is too great; or the
wrapping twine is sliding to the side.
1. The position of the lateral twine stop is not
optimum.
2. Move the lateral twine stops outwards or
inwards.
Net wrapping
Net wrapping does not begin although the baling
chamber is full.
1. Check electric power supply, tailgate sensors,
bale ejector sensor and mechanical control.
2. Toggle switch on the control box is not set to
net wrapping or the control box is not switched
on.
Net wrapping does not start. 1. Magnetic clutch or power supply is faulty.
2. Check V-belt.
3. The V-belt brake is not engaged - engage it.
4. Pigtail too short.
Netting is not fed into the baling chamber and
wraps round the rubber-coated roller or steel
roller.
1. Knife is not in forward position.
2. Rubber roller/pressing roller is dirty - clean.
3. Insufficient clearance at knife trip quadrant.
Adjust spring-loaded cylinder at the hex nut so
that the knife trip quadrant drops readily behind
the metering spindle with a clearance of at least
5 mm when the tailgate is fully opened.
4. Knife trip quadrant or operating linkage
jammed.
5. Check spring tension on the steel pressure
roller.
6. Dust the rubber roller with talcum powder.
