2. PAPER MISFEED
2-1. Initial Check Items
• When a paper misfeed occurs in the printer, first make the following initial checks.
Precautions for Clearing Misfeed
• Reset the misfeed condition by opening and closing the Front Door after the misfeed has
been cleared.
Check Action
Does the paper meet product specifications? Replace paper.
Is the paper curled, wavy, or damp?
Replace paper.
Instruct user in correct paper storage.
Is the paper transport path deformed, dirty, or
obstructed with foreign matter?
Clean the paper path and replace if
necessary.
Is the roller dirty, deformed, or worn?
Clean the roller and replace if neces-
sary.
Are Edge Guides at correct position to accommo-
date paper?
Slide the Edge Guides up against the
edges of the paper stack.
Does the actuator operate correctly when
checked?
Correct or replace the actuator.
