12.4 Set and gear change.
12.4.1 Change parameter set of an axis (G112)
The CNC may have up to 4 sets of parameters for each axis defined by the OEM in the
machine parameter table. The parameter set may be selected by program using function
G112. This function does not carry out any physical change on the machine (gear change),
it only assumes the parameters of the selected set. When using Sercos axes, function G112
also involves changing the drive's velocity gear.
Programming.
Program G112 and then the axes and the new parameter set to be activated for each one
of them. Several axes may be programmed with this function.
Programming format.
The programming format is the following; the arguments appear between curly brackets and
the optional ones between angle brackets.
G112 X..C{set}
Change of the drive's parameter set.
The CNC only allows the set of the spindle parameters to be modified when working as a
C axis. In this case, a change to the set is programmed using the name of the axis, not the
name of the spindle.
Properties of the function and Influence of the reset, turning the
CNC off and of the M30 function.
Function G112 is modal. After validating the machine parameters, every time a program is
executed from the automatic mode, on power-up, after executing an M02 or M30, after an
emergency or a reset, the CNC acts as follows depending on how the OEM has set it
(parameter DEFAULTSET).
X..C{set}
Name of the axis and parameter set (between 1 and 4).
G112 X2 Y3
(The CNC selects the second set of parameters for the X axis, and
the third one for the Y axis)
#CAX[S,C]
G112 C2
(It selects the second set of parameters for the C axis)
DEFAULTSET Meaning.
0 The CNC maintains the parameter set.
1..4 Set number assumed by the CNC.
