7 Using the supplied black sheet removed
from the box earlier, cover the upper surface
of the unit pulled out.
Important • When replacing a drum cartridge, be sure
to cover the unit with the black sheet.
Leaving it uncovered may degrade the
image quality.
8 Remove the new drum cartridge from the
plastic bag.
Important • When removing the drum cartridge from
the plastic bag, be careful not to touch or
scratch the surface of the drum.
9 Open the protective cover so it unfolds
underneath the drum cartridge.
10 Remove the black sheet covering the top of the unit.
11 Lift the drum cartridge holding the rings
provided at both ends.
Important • Do not touch the surface of the drum.
12 Aligning it with the guides, place the drum
cartridge into the unit with the ( ) side
facing you.
CAUTION
Be sure to insert your fingers into
the rings when lifting up the drum
cartridge.
