5-44 Edition 4 (05/2014) DMS Go+
Setting the waiting time
You can set a waiting time (in seconds) for interruptions.
The waiting time starts as soon as the probe is uncou
-
pled during a B-scan recording. As long as you couple
the probe again within this time, the B-scan display is
continued. Otherwise, the instrument will end the B-
scan display.
The expiring waiting time is displayed at the top right
corner of the screen display in the power display box.
In the function group MEASURE, select the function
TIMEOUT.
Set the required waiting time.
Minimum value line
You can display a minimum reading as a line in the
B-scan. The adjusted minimum value is identical with
the minimum value which triggers an alarm when fallen
below (
see Section Configuring alarm functions,
page 5-39). However, the alarm functions are complete-
ly independent of the visible minimum value line. The
minimum value line is meant for visual orientation.
In the function group ALARM, select the function
MIN.
Choose the option ON in order to activate the mini-
mum value alarm.
Select the function MIN ALARM and set the thick-
ness value which should be displayed as a line in the
B-scan.
