MSDP configuration commands (available only
on the HP 3600 v2 EI)
The term "router" in this document refers to both routers and Layer 3 switches.
The term "interface" in this chapter collectively refers to Layer 3 interfaces, including VLAN interfaces
and Layer 3 Ethernet interfaces. You can set an Ethernet port as a Layer 3 interface by using the port
link-mode route command (see Layer 2—LAN Switching Configuration Guide).

Description
Use cache-sa-enable to enable the SA cache mechanism to cache the (S, G) entries that the received SA
messages contain.
Use undo cache-sa-enable to disable the SA cache mechanism.
By default, the SA cache mechanism is enabled. That is, the device caches the (S, G) entries that in the
received SA messages contain.

# Enable the SA message cache mechanism on the public network so that the device caches the (S, G)
entries that the received SA messages contain.
