Using limit Testing
To Create a Flat Limit Line
In this example, you will create a minimum limit line from 155 MHz to
195 MHz at a level of -3 dJ3.

To access the limit line menu press (m) Limi% Menu .
‘lb create a new minimum limit line press Add limit Add Mia fiae .
Press Begin Frequency , and enter [ISSJ MHZ.
Press End Frequency , and enter (GJ XFlz .
Press Bq@n Limit , and press (--3) &t&r.
Press End Limit , and press [--3) En%sr .
Notice that the analyzer has generated a limit line at about the center of
the display.
To get a less distracting view of the limit line, press @iKiV]

‘lb see if your filter meets the minimum limit you have just set up, press
Wior Nonu Limit Menu Limit Tset On.
The display will now indicate on the display whether the DUT has passed
or failed when compared to the current limits. If you are using the hlter
that was shipped with your instrument, you should see a PASS indicator.
Tb edit a current limit line and to see what a fail indicator looks like,
press Edit Limit and set the Begin
and End Limit to 0 dE%
Notice the display now shows the FAIL
indicator.
