REFLECTION
RF OUT
The standard front panel RF OUT connector is a female type-N 50 0
connector. When Option 1EC is ordered, this front panel connector is a
female type-N 75 D connector.
This port outputs the RF signal and also serves as an input for reflection
measurements.
TRANSMISSION
RF IN
The standard front panel RF IN connector is a female type-N 50 R connector.
When Option 1EC is ordered, this front panel connector is a female
type-N 75 n connector.
This port receives the RF signal for internal transmission measurements.
CAUTION
While 50 D and 75 0 Type-N connectors are similar in appearance, they are
not compatible. 75 n type-N connectors have a smaller center pin. Connector
damage can result if you attach a 50 61 male connector to a 75 61 female
connector.
‘lb adapt from 50 61 to 75 fl), always use a minimum loss pad:
l For adapting from 50 fl female to 75 fl female use an HP 11852B,
Option 004, minimum loss pad.
l For adapting from 75 R female to 50 fl female, use a standard HP 11852B
minimum loss pad.
