9-2-1 Troubleshooting by LED Indicators
Red Indicator (ON or Flashing)
Bus Off error detected Bus Off status (com-

Check the following items and restart
the Slave.
Do Master/Slave baud rates match?
Are lengths of cables (trunk and branch
lines) correct?
Are cables loose?
Are Terminating Resistors connected to
both ends of the trunk line only?
Is noise interference excessive?

MS indicator is a constant red. The Slave Unit is faulty. Replace the Slave Unit if it is faulty.
The Expansion Unit has been removed or disconnected. Check the Expansion Unit.
MS indicator is flashing red. An error has occurred in the Slave's internal non-volatile memory data. Double-click
the icon of the Slave in the Main Window and open the Edit Device Parameters
Window. Click the Default Setup Button, and then click the Reset Button. If the MS
indicator continues to flash red after returning the data to the default status, replace
the Slave Unit.
The DIP switch settings or other settings are incorrect. Check the switch settings
and restart the Slave Unit.
The cold junction compensator has been removed or disconnected (DRT2-TS04T
only). Check the cold junction compensator.
