Tomography Circuitry
The universal AEC Board provides interfacing circuitry to the Siemens tomog-
raphy system (and to other tomography systems that have similar hand-
shake interface). The Tomography circuitry contains the signal sequence
needed to take an exposure using a Siemens table (including a Tomo table)
or a Siemens wall stand. In addition, it includes the sweep time detection cir-
cuitry that detects tomography mode of operation.
When Tomo Mode is detected, the operator control panel automatically dis-
plays Tomo Mode screen. The Tomo Mode screen displays an icon indicating
Tomo Mode, and the exposure "time" is changed to "sweep time". The expo-
sure hand-shake control signals are received from the Logic Board and Inter-
face Board. These signals are activated during PREP and EXPOSE states, and
are sent and received from either the tomo table or wall stand. The Tomo
Mode detection circuitry receives the tomo sweep time from the tomo table.
The Universal AEC Board detects the selected tomo sweep time, and sends it
to the Logic Board. The Logic Board sends the data to the OCP via serial
communication protocol.
