ROTOR DRIVE BOARD A10 (AY40-013T) PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION
Note: This procedure is not required on systems equipped with high
speed starter option.
Refer to Rotor Drive Board A10 (AY40-013T) Terminal Block Location Diagram in
Chapter 6, DIAGRAMS and verify Rotor Drive Board adjustments as follows:
1. Set A10R20 to approximately mid range.
2. Connect one channel of oscilloscope to A10TP15 and second channel to
A10TP14.
3. Press and hold the PREP key for approximately 3 seconds. Verify that during
the run cycle, the amplitude of the phase and main pulses are +14 VDC to
+15 VDC and waveforms are as shown in Figure 2-26 (i.e., the peaks of
waveforms at TP15 and TP14 should be between 2.5 and 3.0 milliseconds
apart).

4. Press and hold PREP key for approximately 3 seconds.
5. Verify the peak voltage at A10TP14 after PREP has been pressed for at least 2
seconds (rotor in boost mode) is
greater than
14 V
PEAK
. If necessary, adjust
A10R20 to achieve the correct voltage.
6. Set A10R24 to approximately midrange.
7. Press and hold PREP key for approximately 3 seconds.
