Valve Test Procedures, Continued
Testing the Cal1
luer
Follow these steps to test the sensor luer to Cal1 luer path.
NOTE: Ensure no luer caps and/or forceps are in place.
Step Action
1.
Apply the syringe to the Cal1 luer at the manifold.
2.
Apply a vacuum to the Cal1 luer, the path must hold a vacuum. If no
vacuum is present L2 valve is malfunctioning, continue to next
section, Testing the Cal2 luer path.
3.
While maintaining a vacuum on the Cal1 luer, press Pump Cal1 on
the Hardware screen. A loss of vacuum should occur.
• If there is a loss of vacuum continue to next section, Testing the
Cal2 luer path.
• If there is no loss of vacuum then L2 and/or L3 valves are
malfunctioning.
4.
Disconnect the tubing from the normally open port on L3 valve.
• If a vacuum is held then L3 valve is malfunctioning.
• If the vacuum is not held L2 is malfunctioning.
5.
Reconnect the tubing.
