ABL77 Service Manual Chapter 6: Replacements
Battery
Introduction
Follow these steps to replace the battery.
Step Action
1.
Turn off the analyzer and unplug it from A/C power.
2.
Open the rear panel battery access door and disconnect the wires at the
plastic connector by pulling straight out. Pull out the existing battery.
3.
Place a new battery in the battery cavity of the analyzer and plug it
into the battery control board connector on the left side of the battery
compartment. Use only a Radiometer ABL77 battery.
4.
Replace the rear panel battery access door, taking care not to damage
the battery wires.
5.
Plug the analyzer into an AC source and charge the battery for at least
5 minutes.
6.
Turn the analyzer on and ensure it will run on both AC and battery
power.
7.
Allow the analyzer to continue charging for 6 hours to ensure a
complete battery charge.
