Waste Line
Introduction
This procedure can be used for three purposes:
1. A preventive measure to prevent waste drain blockage
2. To clear a blockage
3. To decontaminate the analyzer
Waste line
procedure
Follow these steps to perform the waste line procedure.
Step Action
1.
Press Fluidics from the Options menu.
RESULT: The following screen will appear.

Press Waste Line from the pop-up window
Press Yes to continue.
RESULT: If a sensor cassette is;
attached…
The analyzer will remove any fluid, then
prompt the operator to remove the sensor
cassette. The analyzer will sense when the
cassette has been removed and will
automatically proceed to the next screen.

The analyzer will automatically proceed to the
next step.
3.
Ensure there is a cal pack in place to collect waste fluids.
4.
Introduce 1 cc of hypochlorite Cleaning Solution (REF: 943-906) into
the waste drain.
