ABL77 Service Manual Chapter 4: Test and Calibration Procedures
Battery Charger
Introduction
This procedure is used to verify the analyzer is detecting the external battery
charger.

Follow these steps to determine if the battery charger is functional.
Step Action
1.
Connect the battery charger to an AC source.
2.
Connect the multimeter to the 6-pin DIN connector on the battery
charger, as shown in Figure 4-20:
Attach the negative lead of a multimeter to either one of the
negative ““ pins.
Attach the positive lead of the multimeter to either one of the
positive “+” pins.

If the meter reading is 18 – 18.5 volts, the battery charger is
performing as expected. Continue to the next section Battery
charger detection.
If the meter reading is not within range, replace the battery charger.
