Interface Board
Introduction
This section describes removal of the interface board.
NOTE: When the interface board is removed, the coin cell battery is disconnected
and the CPU CMOS will lose its settings and must be re-programmed. See the
instructions for re-programming the CPU CMOS settings in Chapter 4, Test and
Calibration Procedures.

Follow these steps to remove the interface board as shown in Figure 5-26.
Step Action
1.
Remove the electronics module.
2.
Disconnect the barcode reader / keyboard cable from the left side of
the board.
3.
While pulling straight out on both sides, gently remove the interface
board.
4.
Disconnect the printer data cable.
5.
Remove the coin cell battery.
