Disk Drive Cable
CAUTION: The cable connectors are very delicate and easily damaged. Use
caution when installing this cable into the connector. Do Not
tug on the cable after
it is installed as the cable may pull free of the connector.

Disk drive cable
Follow these steps to replace the disk drive cable. Refer to Figure 6-21.
Step Action
1.
Remove the electronics module. One end of the disk drive cable will
be disconnected when the upper module is removed.
2.
Remove the analog board.
3.
Disconnect the cable clamp from the right-hand board guide.
4.
Remove the LCD adapter board.
5.
On the far right edge of the CPU board is a tan or dark brown colored
cable connector. Flip the locking mechanism on the connector up.
6.
Disconnect the old disk drive cable from the CPU board.
