Coin Cell Battery
Introduction
This section describes the process for replacing the coin cell battery. This battery
maintains the CPU settings.
NOTE:
When the coin cell battery is disconnected, the CPU CMOS will lose its settings
and must be re-programmed. See the instructions for re-programming the CPU
CMOS settings in Chapter 4, Test and Calibration Procedures.
Coin cell battery
Follow these steps to replace the coin cell battery.
Step Action
1.
Remove the electronics module.
2.
Slide the battery out of the coin cell holder (item 1 in figure 6-18).
3.
Slide a new battery into the battery holder.
4.
Replace the electronics module.
5.
Restart the analyzer.
6.
Check the date and time under Options. Adjust as necessary.
NOTE: When resetting the date, always set the year first otherwise
the CMOS will not record the month or day change.
