3.3.9.1 Loading the input sorter with tubes, racks and rack trays
The system can be configured to accept a wide variety of racks and rack trays from different
manufacturers. The following descriptions each show one of the many possible rack and rack
tray types.
1. In the input sorter, you can load the drawers with (already centrifuged) tubes into racks
and rack trays. Manually check whether the tubes are on the floor of the racks! Tubes
which are positioned falsely will then be placed at the false height when sorting to a work
place. This may cause a tube to tilt and spill the contents.
NOTICE
If multiple samples are being processed with the same barcode number of the identical patient,
then do not place these directly adjacent to each other in the rack. Instead, you should leave at
least ten tube positions of space between them. If an identical tube is located on the tube
transport between the barcode reader and the decapper, then the host data for the first tube will
be overwritten by the data for the second tube. Thus only one tube would be processed.
2. Then push the drawer in until you hear it click, and it no longer can be moved.

You can place racks directly on the sorting area or in rack trays.
NOTICE
Avoid creating gaps when loading the racks.
Beginning with rack position 1, load the sample tubes continuously in the rack. If there is more
than one position for a tube free in the rack, the sorting unit registers the rack as empty, even
though the following rack positions could be occupied.
