Startup time
To achieve optimal operating conditions for the soft starter sDSSte / sRSSte, the
set start-up time should be approx. 1 s longer than the resulting motor powering
up time. Longer start-up times increase the thermal load on the devices and the
motor unnecessarily and lead to a reduction in the permitted switching fre-
quency.
Installation height
If the installation height exceeds 1000 m, this requires:
• a reduction of the rated current for thermal reasons
• a reduction in the rated voltage due to the limited insulation resistance
The following shows the reduction of the device rated current and the rated
operating voltage depending on the installation height:
