7.3 Safety local maintenance isolating module (F-RSM)
7.3.1 Features
Safety guideline
The module is to be tested on commissioning and thereafter every 12 months.
For the test, proceed as follows:
- Operate the EMERGENCY OFF switch
- Check whether the output OUT has been switched off
- Check whether the AC 400 V has been switched off
- Enable the EMERGENCY OFF switch again
- With a monitored start, check whether the output OUT and the 400 V are still
switched off; then operate the START switch
Repeat the test with the next EMERGENCY OFF switch until all EMERGENCY
OFF switches have been operated.
The module with local safety function is configured for the following individual
functions:
• Has the same functions as a maintenance isolating module
• 2 safe inputs for:
– EMERGENCY OFF / EMERGENCY STOP or guard door contacts, two
channels
– Monitored start-up
• 2 safe outputs, of which:
– 1 output on the front
– 1 output
on the back with infeed on 1 safety RW channel
• 2 slide switches to set the basic functions
– 1-channel / 2-channel
– Autostart / monitored start
• Operating mode low-demand and high-demand
• Use up to safety category 4 according to EN 954-1 or SIL 3 complying with
IEC 61508
Caution
The safety local maintenance isolating module can only be mounted on the rear
wall bus module 3RK1922-2BA01.
