7.4 Disconnecting module 400 V (ASM-400V)
7.4.1 Features
Safety guideline
The module is to be tested on commissioning and thereafter every 12 months.
For the test, proceed as follows:
- Switch off the safety module that supplies the F0 busbar.
- Check whether the 400 V has been switched off
- Switch on the safety module that supplies the F0 busbar.
The disconnecting module 400 V is configured for the following individual func-
tions:
Dual tripping of main current circuit supply (category 4)
Confirmation of the module function state via bus
Confirmation of the switch state of the contactor via bus
7.4.2 Description
The disconnecting module 400 V may only be used in conjunction with the
safety local maintenance isolating module for local safety applications. It con-
tains 2 inline contactors for fail-safe tripping of the main circuit. Operational trip-
ping of the connected consumer unit must take place by means of a down-
stream motor starter. The auxiliary current circuit supply of the device is pro-
vided via the safety busbar in the rear wall bus module.
The disconnecting module 400 V can be used in conjunction with the safety
local maintenance isolating module for safety applications up to category 4 com-
plying with EN 954-1 or SIL 3 complying with IEC 61508.
The operating mode is low-demand and high-demand
Caution
The summation current via the disconnecting module 400 V must not exceed a
maximum of 25 A.
Warning
In the event of a short circuit on the load side (circuit breaker on the F-RSM has
triggered), there is a danger that both contactors in the ASM have fused.
Following a short-circuit tripping, the functional capability of the ASM must be
checked.
When switched off, there must be no electrically conducting connection
between pins 1, 2 and 3 at connection X1 and sockets 1, 2 and 3 at connection
X2.
Fusing of the contactors in the event of a short circuit can be prevented by an
additional safeguard of the power infeed with fusible links (max. 16 A gL/gG NH
type 3NA, DIAZED type 5SB or NEOZED type 5SE).
