7.3.2 Description
The safety local maintenance isolating module contains a 3TK2841 assembly
and is equipped with M12 connections for the connection of external safety
components.
Either 1-channel or 2-channel EMERGENCY OFF / EMERGENCY STOP circuits or
guard door circuits can be connected at connection 1 (IN 1 / IN 2).
Both mechanical switches and electronic sensors can be connected. Electronic
sensors must be operated in the operating mode "1-channel operation".
An external switch (make contact) for monitored START can be connected at
connection 2. The connected switch must not be operated when switching on
or enabling the EMERGENCY OFF / EMERGENCY STOP function. The output
OUT or busbar F0 is activated when the switch is released. The switch must be
operated in the range of 200 ms ... 5 s, otherwise this start command is not
accepted.
There is a safe output available for the connection of a door tumbler at connec-
tion 3 (OUT).
The desired safety functions can be set using 2 slide switches located beneath
the left-hand M12 opening.
The safe inputs are assigned to connection numbers 2 and 4.
The safe outputs are supplied with voltage via the rear wall bus module. An out-
put is looped through at the front and can be used, for example, to activate a
door tumbler (OUT).
The 2nd output loops through the supply of the contactor coils (2L+) for the
downstream motor starters via the rear wall bus module (F0).
Caution
The above-mentioned door tumbler is only a simple mechanical lock, i.e. this
door tumbler does not conform with safety applications of category 4 according
to EN 954-1, as here no back-coupling of the mechanical locking bolts is possi-
ble.
If an electronic sensor with two outputs is connected, make sure that the cross-
connection detection is implemented in the sensor.
The electronic sensor and the ET 200pro station must be supplied from the
same mains adapter.
