SNGCLK (Single Clock)
This keyword allows establishment of alarm behavior associated with single clock
card operation. If normal operation for a shelf is with a single clock card (non-
redundant operation), it may be preferable to establish a non-alarm for this
condition by setting the keyword to Y. The keyword format is:
SNGCLK=<value>
Command Example (for setting single clock operation as normal operating mode):
ED-EQPT::IMC:SC01:::SNGCLK=Y;
Response Example:
SYMMBITS 01-06-19 08:09:52
M SC01 COMPLD
;
Command Example (for retrieving SNGCLK setting):
RTRV-EQPT::IMC:SC02:::PARAMETER=SNGCLK;
Response Example:
SYMMBITS 01-06-19 08:11:09
M SC02 COMPLD
"IMC::SNGCLK=Y"
;
Notes:
1. If the SNGCLK value is set to Y and two clock cards are installed, the non-
alarmed event SGLSWMM (single clock card setting mismatch) will be set, indi-
cating that although single clock operation has been specified there are actually
dual clock cards in this shelf. This condition is reported to inform the user that if
a clock card is removed, no alarm will be generated. If SNGCLK is subsequently
set to N, the SGLSWMM event will be cleared.
2. Regardless of SNGCLK setting, if there is no clock card in the shelf, a CLKGONE
event will be generated.
Parameter Value Description
<value> Y Single clock card operation will not
generate an alarm
N Single clock card operation will generate
an alarm
