Retrieve Log
This command displays all events in the event log. The event log is displayed in
reverse chronological order, last in, first out. Events placed in the log are those
which have their LOG property set to Y. It can include both alarmed and
non-alarmed events, and events not initially reported (those with ALM property set
to NONE). Events are displayed in groups of ten. The command format is:
RTRV-LOG:[<tid>]:<aid>:<ctag>::<start retrieving messages>;
Note:
EVTALL displays the entire contents of the event log which can hold up to
1000 events consisting of 100 response blocks of ten events each. Once started, the
retrieval cannot be aborted. EVTTOP and EVTCONT are recommended for retrieving
the event log.
Command Example:
RTRV-LOG::CLK:SC1::EVTTOP;
The command in this example displays the ten most recent events in the event log.

<aid> CLK Displays all events from the active clock card
event log
CLK1 Displays all events from the clock card 1 event
log
CLK2 Displays all events from the clock card 2 event
log

EVTTOP Displays the ten most recent events from the top of
the event log
EVTCONT Continues to display the next ten log messages
from where last left off
EVTALL Displays the entire event log
