9.3 PROCEDURE FOR READING AND SETTING
THE GEAR RATIO (GENERATOR) ON THE WATT
SENSOR BOARD
With an equal number of pedal revolutions, the FEGO generator rotates 3 times faster than the
TONIC generator: this parameter set in the Wa Sensor board is called GEAR RATIO.
The following two conditions are necessary in order for the display to function correctly (display-
ing the correct rev value):
- In the case of a Group Cycle with the old Wi-Fi console, the High Kit software must be
greater than or equal to version 2.58 so the display can read the GEAR RATIO value,
- The GEAR RATIO is set correctly in the Wa Sensor board. The procedure for reading and
seing the GEAR RATIO is described below.
PROCEDURE FOR READING AND SETTING THE GEAR RATIO
ATTENTION: DO NOT PEDAL WHILE PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE.
1. Upgrade the High Kit SW (“7. SW upgrade”);
2. Disconnect the console from the Wa Sensor board;
3. Connect the PC to the Wa Sensor board using a serial cable / 6 pin;
4. Launch the software: Terminal.exe.
5. Set the terminal as follows:
- Click Rescan, to the top left;
- Select the correct COM port;
