6. TROUBLESHOOTING
To correctly perform the troubleshooting operations, the following is required: Portable notebook,
USB - MINI USB cable and terminal software.
6.1 PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW WHEN REPLACING
COMPONENTS
After replacing a component, switch the machine on again and check its operation.
6.1.1 REPLACING THE GENERATOR / THE VOLTAGE
CONVERTER
If one of these components is replaced, no action is necessary.
6.1.2 REPLACING THE FLYWHEEL ALUMINIUM DISC AND
BRAKE CALLIPER
See “6.4 GUIDELINE ABOUT THE REPLACING OF THE ywheel aluminium disc and brake
calliper” .
6.1.3 REPLACING THE WATT SENSOR BOARD
Each time the Wa Sensor board is replaced, the following is necessary:
upgrade the Equipment Software Loader db, if necessary;
write the Group Cycle SN, through the Equipment Software Loader;
automatically write the torque table, through the Equipment Software Loader;
write the generator model, through the Equipment Software Loader;
updatetheWaSensorBoardsoftware,throughtheEquipmentSoftwareLoader;
pedal and check that the console turns on. Continue pedalling and check that the RPM values are
coherent with the pedalling rotating speed. If the console does not turn on or the RPM values are too
high,checkthatthecorrectgeneratorissetintheWaSensorboard.(fordetailssee“9.3 procedure
forreadingandseingthegearratio(generator)ontheWaSensorboard” ).

6.1.4 REPLACING THE HALL SENSOR /BRAKE FRAME
Each time the Hall sensor and the brake frame are removed and/or replaced, the following is nec-
essary:
