Throttle cables adjustment
(MH/EH models)
1. Check:
9 Throttle cables
Damage Replace.
Excessive slack or the stoppers donot
contact each other Adjust.
2. Adjust:
9 Throttle cables

Adjustment steps:
8 Put the shift lever into the forward
position.
8 Turn the throttle grip to the fully-
opened position.
8 Loosen the locknut
1 and adjust the
length of the accelerator cable 2 with
the adjusting nut 3 until the upper
stopper 4 on the throttle control cam
contacts the stopper 5 on the throttle
control cam bracket.
8 Tighten the locknut.
8 Turn the throttle grip to the fully-
closed position.
8 Loosen the locknut 6 and adjust the
decelerator cable 7 with the adjusting
nut 8 until the lower stopper 9 on
the throttle control cam contacts the
stopper 5 on the throttle control cam
bracket.
8 Tighten the locknut.
8 Fully open and close the throttle grip
and make sure the upper stopper con-
tacts the bracket stopper (at the fully-
open position) and the lower stopper
contacts the bracket stopper (at the
fully-closed position). If proper con-
tact is not made, repeat the above pro-
cedure.
