8 Measure the width of the com-
pressed Plastigauge
®
on each main
journal.
NOTE:
8 The crankcase color code indicator is
marked on the cylinder block, as
shown.
8 Use the same bearing color as the
color which is indicated on the
crankcase (e.g., A(Blue) → Blue, etc.).
Connecting rod oil clearance
1. Measure:
9 Connecting rod big end oil clearance
Out of specification → Replace the
connecting rod as a set.
