LOWER UNIT/GENERAL
Lower unit leakage check
1. Check:
9 Pressure
Pressure drops → Inspect the oil seals
and components.
Checking steps:
8 Connect the leakage tester to the oil
level checking hole.
8 Apply the specified pressure.
8 Check that the lower unit holes the
specified pressure for ten seconds.
NOTE:
Do not overpressurerize the lower unit.
Excessive pressure may cause the air to
leak out.
GENERAL
Anode
1. Inspect:
9 Anode (engine)
9 Anode (lower unit)
Scales → Clean.
Oil/grease → Clean.
Excessive wear (half worn)/damage →
Replace.

Do not oil, grease or paint the anode, or it
will not operate properly.

Damage/cracks/bends → Replace.
