NOTE:
Find the forward gear shim thickness (T1)
by selecting shims until the specified mea-
surement (Mv
1) is obtained with the spe-
cial tool.
1. Measure:
9 Measurement (Mv
1)
NOTE:
Measure the length between the shimming
plate and the bearing outer race after turn-
ing the outer race 2 or 3 times.
2. Calculate:
9 Forward gear shim thickness (T1)
3. Select:
9 Forward gear shim

Example:
If T1 is “0.41
mm” → refer to “0 ~ 2”,
then use a 0.40 mm shim.
If T1 is “0.43 mm” → refer to “3 ~ 5”,
then use a 0.42 mm shim.
If T1 is “0.48 mm” → refer to “6 ~ 8”,
then use a 0.45 mm shim.
If T1 is “0.49 mm” → refer to “9”,
then use a 0.48 mm shim.
Available shim thickness:
0.10, 0.12, 0.15, 0.18, 0.30,
0.40 and 0.50 mm
