Local DSP
Each measure unit has DSP hardware (called local DSP), which
can be used for processing data captured by the digitizer of the
measure unit, instead of the processing by the system controller.
As the local DSP processes the captured data and judges the pass/
fail results, uploading bulky capture data to the system controller
is not needed, and thus, the upload time can be reduced. The local
DSPs in the measure units can simultaneously process the
respective captured data and judge the respective pass/fail results.
The local DSPs can minimize the test time especially in multi-site
testing, where multiple measure units operate simultaneously. In
the default setting, the local DSPs are not used.
The DSP memory is used by the local DSP during the processing,
and is used to store DSP programs that are automatically
generated from your test method programs and standard
testfunctions.
(The source unit does not have DSP hardware.)
